Tesla Supercharger sites could also power distributed AI computing
3DNews reported that Elon Musk proposed placing containerised Tesla AI computing systems near high-power Supercharger sites. The IEA’s Global EV Outlook 2026 says the global public network grew by more than 33% in 2025 to over 7 million points. Under current policies, more than 350 million charging points of all types could be added from 2026 through 2035, with home and workplace charging remaining dominant while fast public charging supplies a large share of total capacity.

A global technical specification advances megawatt charging
CharIN announced publication of IEC TS 63379, defining connectors, vehicle inlets and cable assemblies for conductive DC charging at megawatt power levels. The standard is aimed mainly at electric trucks and other heavy-duty or industrial applications where very high charging power and interoperability are essential.

Israel advances open, real-time charging-station data
Auto.co.il reported that the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure was promoting a real-time data system for charger availability, power and operator information, intended to improve transparency, competition and route planning.
